1. Who we are

ÆON is developed and distributed by Ætherform ("we", "us"), an independent project operated by its founding team. You can contact us at support@aetherform.org. We are the data controller for the personal data described below.

2. What we collect and why

When you request the ÆON download, we collect your email address. We use it for two separate purposes, each with its own legal basis:

• Sending you the download link and managing your request. Legal basis: this is the service you asked for — processing necessary to take steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Occasional updates about ÆON (new versions, bug fixes) and, rarely, news about Ætherform products — only if you separately opt in via the optional checkbox on the form. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.

If you do not tick the optional checkbox, we will only use your email to deliver the download link. We do not collect any other personal data through this site.

3. Where your data is stored

Your email address is stored with Brevo (Sendinblue GmbH), our email service provider, which acts as our data processor under its Data Processing Agreement. If your data is processed on servers outside the EU, those transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

4. Proof of consent

If you opt in to updates, we record your email address, the date and time of sign-up, the state of the opt-in checkbox, and the version of this policy you accepted, so we can demonstrate your consent. If you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, we record that date too.

5. What we never do

We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for their marketing. We do not use advertising trackers on this site.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can at any time request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data; withdraw your consent; and lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in Italy, the Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali). To exercise any of these rights, write to support@aetherform.org.

8. Cookies

This site does not use profiling or advertising cookies.
